CA$150.00

Dimensions: 6 x 6 x 1.5
Inspiration:: Tits are known to be intelligent, active and noisy little birds. They never stop moving… foraging for seeds amongst leaves, probing trees for bugs, and gaily hopping about. A natural subject for a show about stillness? Perhaps. It does beg the question though, how fleeting can a moment of stillness be?
Materials and Process:: acrylic on cradled panel

CA$350.00

Dimensions: 16 x 12
Inspiration:: In my piece Nature's Muse, I seek to reveal the enchanting artistry of nature that unfolds in stillness and presence. Away from the noise and busyness of society, and immersed in the natural world around us, stillness allows us to notice the slow, subtle beauty and the interplay between our inner and outer landscapes. In this scene, the subject sits contentedly by a pond as the sunlight and foliage cast an intricate shadow on her back, transforming the human form into both canvas and muse.
Materials and Process:: Acrylic on canvas

Dimensions: 40 x 20 x 27
Inspiration:: Inspired by exploring body casting and the human figure in still life, Anne took a challenging pose and looked graceful. Her seated abstract and fragmented human figure combines earthy and industrial elements, crafted with an organic skin texture. Behind the figure is a tapestry severed from the seat cushion, showcasing women's handiwork that is getting a new life—an impressive display of beauty behind the scenes. This is a collaborative project/submission.

Dimensions: 33 x 19 x 22
Inspiration:: Inspired by the exploration of body casting and the human figure in still life, the sculpture embodies the idea that each part contributes to the whole. The spirit of this ceramic assemblage is captured in a deep red rose, cleaved from ceramic materials, contributing to a narrative that transcends the mere representation of objects. Bound to the chair's leg are a hand and forearm, tethered by a dark aging wire, which evokes unseen connections and deep emotional bonds interwoven with the story.

CA$500.00

Dimensions: 18 x 14 x 1.5
Inspiration:: Flowers inspire, providing symbolism and hope that life is STILL (and always) worth celebrating. Sunflowers are the Ukranian symbol for resilience, survival and hope, STILL persisting in spite of devastation. Lantern plants thrive in my garden, despite no effort on my part, quietly growing, until pow! the orange lanterns shout, “We're STILL here, doing life.” The ferns anchor flowers in primitive plant life, STILL living on Earth, purifying air, filling in gaps in forest floors, and gardens.
Materials and Process:: Encaustic painting on cradle board

CA$1,250.00

Dimensions: 30 x 24 x 1.5
Inspiration:: This painting captures a moment of stillness, where life’s rush halts, and uncertainty takes over. It reflects the universal experience of questioning our own beliefs and realizing those on the other side may feel the same. In a world weighed down by struggles, even the strongest feel disoriented. Through layered textures and movement, this piece explores the tension between up, down, and the middle ground. It is a call for kindness, urging empathy and understanding amidst differing perspectives

CA$285.00

Dimensions: 9 x 12
Inspiration:: Painted on location at Esquimalt Lagoon, inspiration behind this painting came from the relative calm of all creatures and things in this subject, aside from the gentle tidal flows which gave life and harmony to this majestic coastal landscape. As the artist, I was in sync with the cormorant perched on his piling, as we both took in the serenity of the moment.
