Statement

I create art to share the surprises that cross my path. I explore and celebrate my experiences through textiles and photography. My work stems from the mundane world around me, and the imaginary one within me. Inspiration abounds -- not only from the cityscapes and the countryside -- but everywhere!  In my textile pieces, I employ techniques such as fused appliqué, machine piecing, layering, couching, macramé, crochet, as well as machine and free-motion quilting. I can be found more-often-than-not meandering outside the lines. With my Muse – my daughter, Dani Amrit – guiding my creations, I hold steady in my belief that my pieces will work out.
