Most of my sculptures are relief works made from natural materials collected from beaches near my home. I choose former living materials that have been tossed by the ocean and dried naturally on the beach. Although they were living and are now dead and still, I give them a new life in whimsical works of art: driftwood becomes a 'hill' and 'ground', a kelp holdfast becomes a 'tree'. Although they are still, they still represent life.
