I was sick-winter cold, COVID, pneumonia, or something else entirely. Sleepless nights and feverish days dissolved into obsessive, terrorizing social media doom-scrolling. In recovery, I turned to my tools and materials for grounding. Their familiar forms became anchors. The paintings, made with disruptive blasts and bleeds of color, layer outlines: intersecting, overlapping, colliding. A still life of objects with purpose—a meditation on process as agency, defiance, and clarity in work.
