Kim Money

Kim grew up in Calgary and Victoria where she was gifted two wonderful art teachers at Oak Bay high school who nurtured an already present desire to create. After high school she was accepted into Alberta college of Art where she immersed herself in her studies-and lived on popcorn. A dream come true. fast forward- children, family, work, life-and art became more stolen moments of therapy and escape than a vocation.

Kim's early work centered around fantasy and expressive realism with flowers and motorcycles. In 2019 Kim discovered intuitive abstract through Nickolas Wilton's Creative Visionary program and fell in love. This changed everything. This is the work she was meant to create.

Statement

My process centers around playing with colour, marks, texture and shape- and then responding to that play.
