“Painting is the grandchild of nature. It is related to God.” Rembrandt van Rijn
StatementI have loved creating all my life, finding the greatest inspiration in the world of nature. I endeavor to express vivid images and emotive experiences in my acrylic paintings. I use bold contrast to emphasize light and vivid hues to express intensity. Techniques of layering acrylic paint, glazes of colors and frequent use of texture medium, imitate natural substances in my paintings.I aspire to express the abstract concepts of rich emotions and spiritual presence using natural visual elements. Inspired by lush forests, ever changing ocean views, and by rivers, ponds and lakes that I have photographed while hiking and kayaking, I manipulating bright colors of paint onto layers and patterns with movement, high contrast and color harmony, drawing the viewer into intimacy with the subject.
